Hayle Korem, PT, DPT
Hi! I’m Hayle and I can’t wait to meet you! My favorite part of physical therapy is the hope that it gives people to know that they don’t have to live in pain and can return to a healthy, active lifestyle with confidence. As a physical therapist, I hope to give each client the tools they need to improve their performance and have a better understanding of their body so that they can be completely present in the many roles they play each day!
I grew up in a small town on the gulf coast of Mississippi with my entire family living within 20 minutes of me. My childhood consisted of water sports, fishing, climbing trees, and playing ball…I’m a country girl at heart. I started playing softball at the age of 4, and that took me on a long journey where I got the opportunity to play at the collegiate level. It was during this time of hard training, playing through pain, 3 surgeries, and rehabilitation that I found a love for physical therapy. I loved learning about how the body works, figuring out the complexities of various injuries, and how to heal through movement.
After graduating from Mississippi State University, I took a brief break from school because who doesn’t like doing life the hard way sometimes! I married a football coach and our journey of moving around the country began. During this break I realized more than ever that my passion was leading me to physical therapy school, so that is what I pursued.
I received my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences and began my career working in outpatient orthopedics. I then completed the course work to be a Pregnancy and Postpartum Exercise Specialist, so that I could provide specialized care for women! Although I love working as a physical therapist, I became frustrated with the “hustle” of treating multiple patients at one time and having insurance companies decide what is the best treatments for my patients. I believe everyone deserves one-on-one care, that is specific to each individual while developing trusting relationships so that I can best support each person as they live an active lifestyle.
